Terms & Conditions

be kind to your mind
Owner: Ulla Greve, Heilpraktikerin für Psychotherapy (HeilprG)
(referred to as “the Practitioner”)

§1 Scope

1. Contractual basis

The Practitioner provides services exclusively on the basis of written offers.

Services are offered on a private-pay basis or reimbursed by private health insurance, depending on individual contracts.

Price lists, service descriptions, and these Terms and Conditions apply in their current version at the time of the first contract and are automatically valid for all subsequent agreements, even if not explicitly referenced again.

2. Future changes

Any changes to pricing, service descriptions, or Terms and Conditions will be communicated in writing. They are considered accepted unless the Practitioner objects within two weeks or the Client within four weeks of notification.

§2 Scope of services

Clients may book psychotherapy and/or psychological counselling.

Psychotherapy and counselling provided by the Practitioner do not replace medical examination or treatment by a physician. Clients with medically relevant symptoms are explicitly advised to consult a general practitioner or appropriate medical specialist.

The therapeutic goal is defined at the beginning of the process. The work includes conversations and exercises designed to support clients in overcoming psychological and psychosocial difficulties, gaining clarity, activating resources, and navigating personal change processes.

§3 No guaranteed outcome

The Practitioner does not guarantee any specific therapeutic outcome or achievement of agreed goals. Both parties commit to working to the best of their knowledge and abilities to support meaningful progress.

§4 Cost coverage

Statutory health insurance in Germany does not currently cover services provided by non-medical psychotherapeutic practitioners.

Therefore, services are provided on a self-pay basis. Clients with private health insurance may be eligible for reimbursement depending on their individual insurance contract. Clients are responsible for clarifying coverage with their insurer before starting therapy.

§5 Contract formation

1. Offer by the Practitioner

Contracts are based on individual offers made by the Practitioner. All offers are non-binding unless explicitly confirmed otherwise.

Clients are responsible for payment unless reimbursement by private insurance has been clarified and confirmed prior to the start of therapy.

Coaching sessions are billed like therapeutic sessions and are exempt from VAT according to § 19 UStG (German Small Business Regulation).

2. Offer by the Client

If a Client books services without prior offer (e.g. via contact form), the same conditions apply.

3. Duration of contract

The therapeutic relationship may be terminated by either party at any time.

If the Practitioner intends to end the professional relationship, sufficient notice will be given to ensure continuity of care where necessary.

§6 Scope and execution of services

1. Place of performance

Services are provided at the Practitioner’s practice in Berlin or online via a secure platform.

The Practitioner provides services according to professional standards and current scientific knowledge.

2. Session duration

Session length and scheduling are agreed mutually during the initial consultation and thereafter.

Sessions typically last 50 or 80 minutes depending on the agreed format.

Late arrival does not extend the session time.

§7 Cancellation policy

If reserved appointments are not attended, Clients are obliged under §615 BGB to compensate for the loss of income.

Appointments must be cancelled at least 48 working hours in advance.

Late cancellations or no-shows will be charged in full, regardless of the reason. This also applies to appointments rescheduled and subsequently cancelled within 48 hours.

§8 Fees and payment

Payments are generally made via SumUp (card payment) or PayPal before each session. Bank transfers may be arranged upon agreement.

Invoices are typically issued electronically within 24 hours. Printed invoices are available upon request.

§9 Confidentiality

The Practitioner is bound by professional confidentiality.

Disclosure of information to third parties, including family members or insurers, requires written consent from the Client.

Exceptions apply where disclosure is required by law, including prevention or reporting of serious criminal offences or protection of higher legal interests.

Psychological practitioners in this legal framework do not hold the same statutory privilege as licensed psychological psychotherapists or physicians regarding legal testimony rights.

§10 Jurisdiction and liability

Jurisdiction is Berlin, Germany.

Participation in therapy does not release Clients from personal responsibility for their actions.

In case of difficulties or disruptions, Clients agree to inform the Practitioner promptly so that appropriate solutions can be found collaboratively.

These Terms and Conditions apply to all services provided between the Practitioner and her clients (“Clients”).
